Your Following Is Important
I delete followers on my account everyday, here's why ⬇️
If you didn't know, engagement from followers on Instagram is crucial to the success of your account!
When you post to instagram, it is important that your following interacts with your post. Why? It signals to Instagram that your content is valuable and leads to increased visibility.
However, we all know that Instagram doesn't show our content to all of our followers so why is it important to delete bots and fake followers? because instagram recognizes the size of your account in terms of engagement.
Let's say you have 5,000 followers...but 4,000 of them are bots and fake purchased followers. That leaves 1,000 real people. And of those 1,000 real people... 30 of them interact with your content.
What does Instagram see? They see 30 out of 5,000 followers interacting with your content - which is super low.
If you are diligent in monitoring your following.... not buying followers and removing bots, you may still receive 30 interactions on your account, but this time its 30 people out of 1,000 followers.
30 of 1,000 followers is a way bigger percentage than 30 out of 5,000 followers.
Instagram is going to be more likely to push your content when a higher percentage of your following interacts on your account.
So please, delete the bot accounts, the spam accounts, the fake accounts, and the.... accounts of the weird men looking for "friendship" (you all know what I'm talking about 🤣)
All of these accounts may make your follower count look good, but your follower count is just vanity metric. It means nothing if the accounts following you are fake. All of those fake followers are reducing your engagement rate which is in turn... reducing your reach on instagram.
Let's stop focusing on the vanity metrics and start focusing on the numbers that actually matter - and those numbers are the ones that aren't visible to everyone 😊
